The conference is to be held in Espoo, Finland in October 2025. ℹ️ More details about the workshop, submissions, and the dataset: datascientiafoundation.githu… 🤗 The open challenge aims to let participants explore the all new #DiversityOne dataset, one of the largest and most geographically diverse datasets for everyday life behavior modeling with mobile data. The dataset combines questionnaires about demographic and psychosocial variables from 18K participants, and passive smartphone sensor data and self-reported annotations from 782 students across eight countries. This dataset is a rich, flexible and valuable research resource that can be used to answer research questions in multiple fields: machine learning, mobile sensing, computational social science, behavioral recognition, and many others. This challenge offers the opportunity to work on a novel dataset and gain useful feedback on your research. Mood😆 and eating 🍱 are two prominent factors that shape our daily life, health, and well-being. While the intersection of #Mood and #EatingBehavior has been extensively studied, it remains poorly understood through #SmartphoneSensor data, captured in #MobileFoodDiaries and #DigitalHealth applications. Our new paper takes a deeper look into this research gap by developing machine learning models using over 24K mood-while-eating reports captured from more than 700 participants across 8 countries🌍📊, via a mobile app📱 in the context of the #DiversityOne study. Excited to announce the next Emerging Rockstar of @ieeepervasive, Dr. 𝑿𝒖𝒉𝒂𝒊 "𝑶𝒓𝒔𝒐𝒏" 𝑿𝒖 (@Orson_Xu). Orson is a postdoc researcher at @MIT, and an incoming Assistant Professor at @Columbia. He develops intelligent behavior intervention systems to promote human health and well-being. He has earned several awards for his research, including nine Best Paper, Best Paper Honorable Mention, and Best Artifact awards at venues such as @acm_chi and ACM IMWUT.
