I've been to 3 MLB games this week, shout-out to all of the dudes I've seen wearing Dale Murphy jerseys especially the guy I talked with at Wrigley and the guy rocking one yesterday in 106 degree heat. It's fan loyalty like this that drives #murphytothehall
Follow the Chief on X now. Robert Parish just made a profile and engages with fans. He also lays out his “Top Fives” in a number of different categories — makes for a fun follow.

Here's something worth remembering: The Braves used to play in the NL West and made three trips to San Diego every season. ... Before and after every game (the latter at the bus) Dale Murphy signed every autograph for every kid no matter if he homered twice or went 0-for-4.
What a couple of months this has been! Many thanks to ‘Murphy To The Hall’ group and all those involved in the effort to get me over the line into the HOF. And thank you to all of you fans who mean so much to us. Nancy and I and our family couldn’t be more honored and grateful for all the support and kindness. It wasn’t the outcome we were hoping for but we’re good and we’ll be hoping for another chance in 3 years! 🙏👍🏼
IMO Kenny Lofton is biggest HOF snub of the last 40 years. No steroid connection, no media/political drama... he was overshadowed by the inflated stats of the Steroid Era.
He hit .299 w/600 SB and 1500 runs, the only player in the last 100 years to do that.
Not enough people talk about Kenny Lofton:
• .299/.372/.423
• 68.4 WAR
• 622 (!!!) SB
• 4 Gold Gloves
• 2428 hits, 1528 runs
• Never struck out 85x
• Led league in SB 5x
Somehow, just a one-and-done on his only HOF ballot (3.2% or the vote in 2013). An injustice!
Murphys HR, defensive & MVP/RBI accolades are enuff. I KNOW what's holding him up is the 2100 hits. If that number were 2400 or 2500, he wooda been in LONG ago
I think Kent was clearly the greatest 2B of his era and in the conversation with Sandberg for the best not named Morgan. But there’s no world where Kent belongs in the HoF and Murphy doesn’t.
Never mind the hypocritical self-righteousness of shafting the all-time home run leader and scariest offensive force the game has seen since Babe Ruth, who never failed a drug test and, even if he did use PEDs before 2005, didn’t break any rules.
