#DHSS24 @CHMcMahon describing how knowledge of technology isn’t enough as a #NHSCIO - you need really good people and influencing skills too. Too true! @DHSummerSchools

Always happy to discuss our research results and plans to improve the nation's (planet's?) health information infrastructure. Here's a link to our introductory video that describes our work and the resultant framework and approach we developed. youtu.be/Qfg3rc3lhQo

Unfortunately if you look at the experience of people with influence in the NHS that have only lived in the NHS and you don’t know what you don’t know. Too many companies have fleeced them with solutions they don’t need at 10x the price and the rest is history.

IMO, @nhsx are just about #AI and will never deliver an architecture across the board that will help people like you layer solutions into healthcare to fix the clinicians day to say problems. They have no ability to trial solutions in a hospital and a safe and secure way without

Agreed. Wasn't this 1 reason for NHSX being created? There's no reason why cross-silo coordination couldn't be delivered via real-time webtech #Vidimo. The infrastructure's already there for goodness sake. You might also wish to connect with @ReasObBob

Sometimes it’s not about the fact that it’s better. It’s about being able to generate a change in culture. Without a shadow of a doubt I could introduce tech into the NHS that would hugely help but there has to be the culture change by individuals willing to want that change.

There should be a platforms group in @NHSX that actually looks at the healthcare platform rather than getting excited when they roll out another version of Windows.A platform that runs across primary, secondary and social care that can host windows/365/Linux/bare/sandbox/web etc

There’s a blast from the past. There are some very suitable certified separation kernels which would do the job. It requires a national effort thou.

A breathtaking parting shot from the 2018 article Marcus but one not entirely wide of the mark perhaps. Appreciate hindsight is 2020 but many questions - why didn't you go the brand route and not white offering and seek an international audience? Happy to discuss. DM if preferred

Long, long ago I concluded that the ideal was web/browser interfaces for all NHS apps, with cheap, secure, untinkerable-with Chromebooks as the device of choice.

It’s amazes me that there isn’t such an architecture for healthcare. IMHO this is what NHSX should be working on.
