A case of mistaken identity led to the release of the wrong person from jail in Faridabad and the suspension of five employees as a result. The Neemka Jail housed two men whose names were the same - Nitesh - and so were their fathers, but their crimes were polar opposites. One was charged with trespassing while the other was accused of repeatedly raping a minor boy. The jail administration was supposed to release the Nitesh, charged with trespassing but instead mistakenly let the other go, news agency PTI reported.
