I pledge that all art in Drone Commander, in game and concept will be 100% human only. As is the voice acting. It's not some boomer AI-hate, bit about me, I've been an AI expert for 20 years, I started in neuralcomputing. So why not use it then?
I'm building a universe/story i've been wanting to tell for years, it's very nuanced and different from off the shelf SciFi, the artists, musicians and actors are hand picked to show the raw side of things.
AI will certainly improve, images and so on - video less so, because diffusion models don't understand what happened a second ago, its why AI vids looks so all over the place; this is known as object persistence (to gamers). But even if it gets cracked tomorrow, there is a unique beauty and nuance knowing things are hand crafted.
For those following me on streams, you'll know that I raw dog code the entire game, I scream, shout, make mistakes, throw things... but get there in the end.
