If Vancouver takes 25% or more of the EP40 contract (8,7M$ or less) and we don't have to give a bluechip prospect like Hage or Zharovsky, I would consider it for sure... He could bounce back pairing with Demidov and Newhook or any other acquisition to play with them

Stankoven may be a great fit on that 2nd line but it's more of a by-committee thing, I think the way that line plays makes him look better, which is something that can happen with Newhook as well as evidenced by Round 2.

Here is the thing about Stankoven he's not the high-end or heavy 2nd line centre that teams are expected to have. To me Alex Newhook is just a poor man's version of him. The Hurricanes centres aren't that much more impressive than the Habs on paper. It's more about the experience
