Sign up and build something. Anything. The more interesting to you the better. 🧑‍🏫 Learn From the Experts: Identify experts, educators, coaches, and influencers within each platform's community. Dive into their tutorials, videos, articles, and bootcamps. 📣 Share your Knowledge: When you do learn new things, don't keep it all to yourself. Share what you've learned with others. 🎓 Get Certified: Seek out certification programs, and watch out for new certifications regularly, as the no-code landscape evolves rapidly. 💬 Engage Like-minded Devs: Engage in forums dedicated to your chosen platforms. Ask questions, share your challenges, and adhere to the forum's etiquette. Be a helpful community member. And don't be shy. 📂 Build a Portfolio: Kickstart your journey on platforms like @Upwork to gather projects that you can showcase to potential clients. Strive to secure higher-quality clients and more complex projects over time. Because the point of UpWork is to get off of UpWork. 🌐 Build a Network: Cultivate a network of like-minded individuals in your niche. If networking isn't your strength, work at it. Just introduce yourself! And utilize the platforms that align with your niche ( @LinkedIn , @X AKA #Twitter, @YouTube, @Reddit, etc.). 💼 Start Consulting: With a solid portfolio and client recommendations, try to transition into dedicated consulting roles within larger organizations. Project or Product Manager roles are often available if you (1) are a platform expert, (2) are well organized, (3) communicate well, and (4) play nice with others. 🛠️ Elevate Your Toolset: As you gain experience, learn about other platforms. I started with @bubble, which blew me away. And it's still my favorite. But over time I learned @airtable, @make_hq, @weweb_io, @nocodebackend, @glideapps, @zapier and a lot of others. Don't get too stuck in one niche. 🤯 Learn Some Code: Learn some JavaScript, Python, JSON, whatever you can use to extend the power of nocode/lowcode platforms. 🧮 Learn Some Computer Basics: Learn about relational databases, noSQL, user authentication, cookies, client vs. server, frontend vs. backend, etc. Take Harvard University's amazing free CS50 course. 🏢 Pursue Full-Time Opportunities: Many freelancers ultimately want full-time positions within startups, small businesses, or enterprises. While freelancing, choose projects that align with your long-term career goals. 🚀 Start a Business: If you have an idea that you think solves a problem, just start building it.
