Can anyone remind me which registry key prevents the installation of unwanted applications during Windows installation? I had this fixed in my previous deployments with MDT/OSDBuilder, but since we switched to a standard ISO and Autopilot, they've reappeared ;-) Thanks.

It's all possible with PowerShell. The issue is, getting a catalog of Windows Updates that you can apply offline. There is no public legit API to look up CUs and get their content. OSDBuilder was built on WSUS catalog, which @SeguraOSD had to manually update each month.

I used #OSDBuilder 24.10.8.1 to import the Windows 11 24H2 May 2025 ISO. At first, I thought it wouldn't work because it was stuck in the Capabilities. I went to lunch and when I came back, it was finished ;-) Now we'll see if we can use it.

I'm already jealous of all those who will be able to see you live at #MMSMOA ... I'll settle for what can be explained/shown after these events ;-) I wish you all the success you've had just like your previous projects! #OSDCloud #OSDBuilder

I've deployed this VM with Windows 11 24H2 and the bare minimum. I'll now install the latest ADK and the module for offline servicing. After that I'll copy everything over from the server. From then on, the WIMs will be modified here ;-) #MDT #OSDBuilder #DISM

You should be using a Client OS to offline service a Client OS, there are differences. Also, your host should be the same version or newer. If you don't believe me, please check with @jarwidmark The next version of #OSDBuilder will require this.

First impression is #OSDBuilder is not installing the Checkpoint update first from the screenshot. Select the updates manually and they should/might run in that order.

Hahaha. I don't actually have any ARM devices at hand ;-) But I'm really looking forward to the conferences where you'll present all the new technology you're working on so we can enjoy them (although if I can try #OSDBuilder before then you know you can count on me ;-)

Wow. Glad you're making a lot of progress with OSDBuilder 🙌. I'll DM you so I can test it and help fix any issues in multi-LP environments. I have a server with ADK 10.1.26100.1 and OSDBuilder 24.10.8.1 ready for testing.

Hi @SeguraOSD, I have 2 #OSDBuilder servers OSD 24.10.8.1. 1st one has 23.2.21.1 & 2nd one 24.10.8.1 of #OSDBuilder. On the 1st, LCU 2024-10 is not downloaded/installed, only LCU 2024-07 :-( On the 2nd, LCU 2024-10 is installed only on Win 10 22H2. Is this the known issue?

I trust David's project a lot more than Microsoft. We've been using #OSDBuilder since day zero, and the few times it's failed, it's been Microsoft's fault. In our case, we also add multiple languages and change registry values with scripts: github.com/manelrodero/OSDBu…

To be fair, I tried to walk away as I thought it was going to fade out when MS started doing monthly updated media, but #OSDBuilder and the #Community won't let me break up. It reminds me of this episode ...

THANK YOU! I built a workflow to create up-to-date WIM with OSDBuilder that we then deploy to our devices using OSDCloud. Saves lots of time removing bloat and applying updates and drivers on each laptop. I feared OSDBuilder was unmaintained and this would stop working. Happy! 😀

Thank you so much for the effort you are making to revive #OSDBuilder. It is a very solid project that has been running smoothly until today. I am sure it will benefit from everything you have learned with the #OSD module and #OSDCloud.

#OSDBuilder was updated to 24.10.8.1 today with some initial support for #Windows11 24H2. You can now download the updated Windows Media from OSDBuilder (its using #OSDCloud catalogs) You'll also need to grab #OSD 24.10.8.1 first Ping @gwblok @miketerrill @manelrodero

#OSDBuilder has not been updated for 24H2 yet so issues are expected …

Yes this is planned. 'll probably start the uplift after next week's Patch Tuesday. The downside is that I only have a few hours a week to dedicate on OSD / OSDCloud / OSDBuilder due to Personal / Family / Paying-Job so updating OSDBuilder usually gets the short straw
