Really looking forward to attending #GuildONS today! How we organise & store our studies is a perennial subject for one-namers, it always generates much discussion, & there’s always more we can learn #OneNameStudies #OneNameStudy

#OnePlaceStudies - mine is a small unfashionable street of shops in a historic market town; #OneNameStudies - specifically those named Brecknock who spread across from Shropshire and morphed into Brecknells, Breakwells etc, etc; The intertwining of local and family history.

I’m not a professional genealogist, but my genealogy passions are #OnePlaceStudies & #OneNameStudies. I study 2 villages, a home for inebriate women & I study a Victorian street in #Southsea. My favourite era is the Victorian era because it has such a rich seam of records!
Hello #Genealogists What are your genealogy passions? Are there specific eras, locations or records you love to delve into? #FamilyHistory #Genealogy @RegQualGenes

NEWS 🗞️ on #SaveOurWills! I have been informed today that “the Government received over 1200 responses largely drawn from the historian, archive, and family history sectors.” Thank you everyone for the time you took to respond! I think @MoJGovUK will be busy! #FamilyHistory

To be fair to them (which I don’t like to be!) the response is specifically to the petition. They will respond to our responses to the consultation paper later in the year. It is, nevertheless, a very poorly constructed response anyway…
