ok so i have been thinking about something for sometime, let me share i need help with few questions from CT, 1. does this (attached) design makes sense ? 2. is there something that can be improved ? 3. is this required and worth building as an AVS ? 4. is someone doing this already in similar/exact way on @eigencloud so i can talk to them 5. pls suggest existing design flaws in this I believe offchain computation as an AVS would be cool, specially if it's open for anyone to deploy their functions onchain and anyone to be able to use or run crons on them What is the requirement? > let's say you write and publish a function, call it fetchAvgOrcalePrice() > it returns an average price that it calculater from multiple sources, aggregates and returns an uint256 > it its pretty simple and you think this is something a lot of people can use, how do you enable this? > now what if this function could be register as a openFunction in a contract jsRegistryModule.sol such that it has all open public functions that are in js > and this function can be utilised by anyone in decentralised and verifiable manner (maybe add zk proof gen and verification as well later on) usecase -> or e.g, > I in my contract, need only 1 node to do the compute for me, submit me the final result and when it's available i can use it by calling requestExecution(moduleId) , i get the result of the function in a consumerContract after it's executed by operators/nodes > someone needs a particular function to be ran on 5 nodes and needs an average/mean of the result, so they can call requestExecution(moduleId, nodeCount, inputs) > someone want's a cron job that executed these functions every s seconds > nodes can listen on these event, try to execute or create jobs and return the inferences onchain this is just a basic high level overview, but i just wanted to share this to get some feedbacks and to also know if someone is already working on this, if so i would like to help :) link to diagram - excalidraw.com/#json=SBD3Mcz… idk how should i go about actually building this, I am thinking creating a basic MVP and then a proposal/doc, but first need feedbacks need help 🙂 @optimizoor @uttam_singhk @Saxenasaheb @sreeramkannan @dabit3 @VitalikButerin
