This major open-access initiative makes one of Karnatakaโ€™s most important historical records freely accessible to scholars, students, and the public worldwide. ๐Ÿ›• These inscriptions were documented and digitally conserved by the ๐Œ๐ฒ๐ญ๐ก๐ข๐œ ๐’๐จ๐œ๐ข๐ž๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐ž๐ง๐ ๐š๐ฅ๐ฎ๐ซ๐ฎ ๐ˆ๐ง๐ฌ๐œ๐ซ๐ข๐ฉ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ ๐ƒ๐ข๐ ๐ข๐ญ๐š๐ฅ ๐‚๐จ๐ง๐ฌ๐ž๐ซ๐ฏ๐š๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐“๐ž๐š๐ฆ as part of the seminar โ€œ๐„๐š๐ซ๐ฅ๐ฒ ๐Š๐š๐๐š๐ฆ๐›๐š๐ฌ ๐š๐ง๐ ๐“๐ก๐ž๐ข๐ซ ๐“๐ข๐ฆ๐ž๐ฌโ€, held in March 2025. ๐Ÿ“ ๐’๐ข๐ญ๐ž๐ฌ ๐œ๐จ๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ๐ž๐ (๐š๐ฅ๐ฉ๐ก๐š๐›๐ž๐ญ๐ข๐œ๐š๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ฒ): Banavasi, Chandravalli, Gudnapura, Halmidi, Kavadi, Malavalli, Shiga, Talagunda, Tadagani, Telagunda, and other nearby locations. This includes images of the renowned ๐‡๐š๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ข๐๐ข ๐ข๐ง๐ฌ๐œ๐ซ๐ข๐ฉ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง, considered the earliest ๐ž๐š๐ซ๐ฅ๐ข๐ž๐ฌ๐ญ ๐ค๐ง๐จ๐ฐ๐ง ๐Š๐š๐ง๐ง๐š๐๐š ๐ข๐ง๐ฌ๐œ๐ซ๐ข๐ฉ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง. ๐Ÿงญ The project involved ๐จ๐ฏ๐ž๐ซ ๐Ÿ,๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽ ๐ค๐ฆ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ญ๐ซ๐š๐ฏ๐ž๐ฅ across 15 historic sites, with more than ๐ฌ๐ข๐ฑ ๐ฉ๐ž๐ซ๐ฌ๐จ๐ง-๐ฆ๐จ๐ง๐ญ๐ก๐ฌ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐๐ž๐๐ข๐œ๐š๐ญ๐ž๐ ๐ฐ๐จ๐ซ๐ค by the four-member team. ๐Ÿ”ฌ Using an ๐€๐ซ๐ญ๐ž๐œ ๐’๐ฉ๐š๐œ๐ž ๐’๐ฉ๐ข๐๐ž๐ซ, a high-accuracy structured light 3D scanner, the team created ๐๐ข๐ ๐ข๐ญ๐š๐ฅ ๐ญ๐ฐ๐ข๐ง๐ฌ ๐จ๐Ÿ ๐ข๐ง๐ฌ๐œ๐ซ๐ข๐ฉ๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง๐ฌ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก ๐ฆ๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ข๐ฆ๐ž๐ญ๐ซ๐ž-๐ฅ๐ž๐ฏ๐ž๐ฅ ๐ฉ๐ซ๐ž๐œ๐ข๐ฌ๐ข๐จ๐ง โ€” a transformative leap over traditional estampages, which are now rare and impractical. Visitors in search of more context will, of course, also find links back to the institutions where we found the images โ€” from small college libraries to national repositories.
