𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗲 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗲 💔?
I can still remember in 2021 when I was new to crypto, learning and excited.
But that year was also the first time I heard about a bridge hack.
277
$BTC were drained on 𝗕𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗦𝗺𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗡𝗲𝘁𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗲 due to a vulnerability in the codebase.
It was around $12.7 million at that time.
They even offered a $1.5 million bounty to get the funds back.
That incident opened my eyes to the system behind so-called 𝗕𝗶𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗱𝗴𝗲𝘀.
𝗜 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗹𝘆: Bitcoin core is solid and inherently secure, but the moment we move it outside its base layer, we depend on other systems built on the: 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸-𝗮𝗻𝗱-𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹.
And those 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸-𝗮𝗻𝗱-𝗺𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹𝘀 have failed before, and they’re still failing today.
But that’s the weakness 𝗧𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗶 is designed to eliminate.
By building Bitcoin’s agentic infra layer, that lets your
$BTC stay secure and earn yield without worrying about another hack headline.
And It gets interesting so read this brief explanation.🔻
