Shhhhhhhh…..🤫! Silence is the hardest thing for people and organizations to master. #PRtip - The ONLY PR point they can score at this moment is that they are supporting Brendan Sorsby in his recovery. More words create more problems as this plays out.
Texas Tech has posted a 20-minute video on the Brendan Sorsby situation featuring its president, Joey McGuire and AD Kirby Hocutt

#PRTIP Did you know that non-verbal clues are silent conversations? Body language, tone, eye contact and other subtle gestures can make or break cross-cultural communication. What is respectful in one culture may offend in another. Learn your environment.

#PRtip: With the election 2 weeks away, it's going to be challenging pitching short-lead media (online, broadcast, newspaper). In many cases, outlets will pull reporters off of their regular beats to cover election news. Keep this in mind if you must pitch in the next 2 weeks.

AI isn't quite there yet when it comes to writing. Looking at AI text as someone who writes is like looking at an AI picture. Most of the time, it's not quite there yet and makes me cringe. When you write to a journalist with your thoughts as an expert, you do not have to have perfect writing skills; it's the content that matters. Worry more about writing from the heart and your experience as an expert in your field. Plus, add any nuggets of stats and facts that back up your reasoning. #prtip
