🤓 Afghanistan is playing football with Pakistan!

The #Taliban supreme leader Shaikh Hibatullah Akundzada, addressed thousands of worshipers in Eid al-Fitr prayers at the #Kandahar Eidgah. In a veiled reference to war with #Pakistan', the Taliban leader said, "We don't care about anyone bombing or firing artillery. If we were afraid of this, #NATO and the West would have succeeded in defeating us." according to a local journalist and media reports. This is the first time the Taliban leader mentioned the conflict with Pakistan. He said “it is the right of the people to ask us where our government is heading,” A Kandahar-based journalist Sadiqullah #Afghan @SadiqullahAfgha in X posts quoted the Taliban leader as saying that the people have complained about the traders for hoarding, which is a sin and these people should be punished. Referring to Pakistan's recent bombing of the Kandahar Eidgah, the government leadership said, "We don't care about anyone bombing or firing artillery. If we were afraid of this, NATO and the West would have succeeded in defeating us."

Suhail Shaheen, the Islamic Emirate’s ambassador in Qatar, said in an interview with an Indian media outlet that many efforts were made to resolve issues with Pakistan through negotiations, but they yielded no results. He added that Pakistan has now chosen a military approach instead of diplomacy, but has also seen the consequences. Shaheen stated that Pakistan expects Afghanistan to guarantee that no security incidents occur across all of Pakistan, which he said is unrealistic and something no one can guarantee.However, he noted that Afghanistan can provide a written assurance that no harm will be carried out against Pakistan from Afghan territory. #TOLOnews_English
