New curriculum plan aims to expand minority religious education
The government of Sindh has announced plans to introduce religious textbooks for Hindu students in public schools, marking a policy shift aimed at expanding minority rights and reshaping how faith-based education is delivered in the province.
The initiative, led by Provincial Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah, will allow Hindu students to study their own religion in place of Ethics, a subject that has long been taught to non-Muslim students in government schools
