ASSAM RIFLES STRENGTHENS COMMUNITY BONDS THROUGH HEALTH AND YOUTH DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVES IN MANIPUR #AssamRifles conducted a series of outreach initiatives across Kakching and Churachandpur districts on 13 June 2026, reaffirming its commitment to nation-building and community development. As part of its youth engagement efforts, Assam Rifles organised weapon displays and career mentorship sessions for defence aspirants and NCC cadets. Around 80 students from Guardian Defence Academy, Pallel, and 54 girl cadets of 65 NCC Girls Battalion, Churachandpur, received valuable insights into military life, entry schemes and career opportunities in the Armed Forces. The programmes aimed to inspire discipline, leadership, patriotism and a spirit of service among the younger generation. In addition, marking World Blood Donor Day, Assam Rifles organised a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp at Pallel Garrison, where approximately 190 security personnel and civilians voluntarily donated blood to support emergency healthcare requirements in the region. The event was supported by civil and military medical specialists, including Dr S. Hemabati Devi of Shija Hospital, who also recorded an awareness podcast on blood donation and health issues for broadcast through the Radio Highway App on 14 June 2026. On 03.06.2026 at 12.00 p.m, Manipur Police detained two vehicles carrying petroleum products with two drivers near Pioneer School along Pallel- Chandel road. 1. One Yodha bearing registration No. MN09B- 0472 driven by Pasel Nepolian Anal 43yrs. S/o (L) Ps. Thumthung Anal of Panchai Village, Chandel District transporting 11(eleven) plastic containers containing approximately 2,420 litres of petrol. 2. One Eeco Van bearing registration No. MN06LX593, driven by Lh. Koko George 29yrs. S/o Lh. Robin of Panchai Village, Chandel District, transporting 6 (six) plastic containers containing approximately 1260 litres of petrol. The two drivers revealed that they were transporting a total of 3680 litres of petrol in 17 containers along Imphal-Moreh road for delivering it to Myanmar. The two vehicles along with the drivers and the fuel are handed over to Kakching PS for further necessary action.

ASSAM RIFLES ORGANISES MYOPIA AWARENESS AND SCREENING CAMP IN PALLEL #AssamRifles, in collaboration with Ibotombi Eye Care, Canchipur, organised a Myopia Awareness and Screening Camp at Assam Rifles Public School, Pallel Garrison, Chandel district, Manipur on 30 May 2026. The camp was conducted to commemorate the 48th Foundation Day of the ENTOD Foundation and aimed to promote preventive eye care and early detection of vision-related issues among children. A total of 143 participants, including 108 students, 20 teachers and 15 family members, attended the programme. Medical experts conducted awareness sessions on myopia, emphasising healthy visual habits, reduced screen time and regular eye examinations.
