Here is the walkthrough video of the website creation below but a quick background story...
Last week Saturday was my friend’s birthday. The catch? I didn’t find out until three days later.
In the world of friendship, I don’t believe in "being late." I believe in intentionality. A simple "HBD" text is easy to send, but it's also easy to forget. Since he is a developer, I decided to step into his world and "vibecode" a digital experience from scratch to show him that he’s valued.
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻: Turn a delayed wish into a creative masterpiece.
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱:
🔹 High-Quality Ambience: I designed a dark-mode interface with twinkling stars and floating butterflies to set a solemn, premium mood.
🔹 The Narrative: It wasn’t just a card. I built a curated slideshow of memories and a staggered list of things I admire about him, from his "Dev Magic" to his "Quiet Ambition."
🔹 Interactive Humor: I included an animated 3D envelope that opens to reveal a humorous legal warning.
🔹 The Finale: A 3-layer chocolate cake built with CSS that assembles itself with thick vanilla cream drips and flickering candles.
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗸:
Because he’s a developer, he knows how to read a URL. To keep the surprise 100% hidden, I masked the link as a "Deadline Notice" with custom legal metadata. The transition from a "mini-heart attack" to a "heart-melting surprise" was the ultimate goal.
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗟𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻:
Technology is just a tool. But when you pair it with creativity and empathy, it becomes a bridge. I’m not a professional coder, but I learned how to use GitHub and HTML/CSS logic because I wanted to speak my friend's "language."
It’s not about the lines of code; it’s about making someone feel loved and seen.

As promised, here is my friend's reaction to my creation and a sneak peak of a page on the website with an animated envelope...lol
