Akko Dash Ultra Review
• It's been almost 2 weeks since I've been using the
Akko Dash Ultra, so I thought I'd share my experience
with this mouse! Will it be the perfect mouse for those
on a budget? Let's find out.
IN THE BOX
• Red · Closet to default skates 20x
• White · Balanced 20x
• Gray · Lowest Friction 20x
• Precision-Cut Grip Tapes x1
• USB Receiver x1
• Charging/Data Cable x1
• Akko Dash Ultra
• The box itself seems very cheap, let's say they didn't put much effort into the uboxing experience, but on the other hand they give us a lot of goodies , the skates are ok but i would always go for aftermarket skates
SHAPE
• I really like the shape, it has straight sides as I like it
and it is similar to the Hitscan Hyperlight but less
aggressive front with the difference that it has the mid
hump a little lower compared to the Hitscan the
sensor is positioned perfectly in the middle of the
mouse, in short a good shape for claw grip users like
me with a 20x9 hand.
BUILD QUALITY
• The build quality didn't entirely convince me. It feels fragile in the hand, but not in the sense that you touch it and it breaks. No, but I have to mention that it's not great in the hand. Even doing the squeeze test, I noticed how it flexes a lot, and when I do it, it seems like the side buttons come off from the mouse and the shell comes off compared to the base when I squeeze it. I should point out that I'm someone who tends to squeeze it a bit on a fight moment in game , so I tend to notice it a lot. If you're not like me, don't worry, you won't feel anything bending.
M1 and M2 are ok except they have really a lot pre-travel and a little less post-travel
COATING
• The Akko Dash doesn't have a coating so I was forced to use grip tape as my hands tend to sweat really a lot when I play, but nothing that some grip tape can't fix.
PERFORMANCE
• Weight:
The Dash weighs around 43g. The black color tends to be slightly lighter than the white model (I don't know why). But a big problem I noticed even when placing my thumbs in the center and lifting the mouse is that it tends to slip backwards, so it's a bit unbalanced due to the battery position (300mAh).
• Sensor:
The dash has a PAW 3950 sensor and I had no problems between glass mousepad and cloth mousepad and the LOD is adjustable via Web Driver from 0.7mm - 1.0mm - 2.0mm it also has 8k pollingrate
• Switches:
My version of the Akko Dash has the Omron Opticals and I have to say that they are implemented quite well, even the wheel has a good scrolling and you can feel light steps which in my personal preference I prefer and the scroll wheel click is really loud and hard to press, and I'm not a fan of that , The side buttons are decent but not great.
FINAL CONSIDERATIONS
Is it worth the purchase? Yes and no!
I think the mouse itself isn't bad It just has a few flaws
but I think there are better budget options like a Scyrox v6 with a higher mid-hump, or a Mchose L7 Ultra with a slightly more aggressive front end, or the closest thing is an ATK F1 Ultimate. If you prefer the Akko Dash, get the MAX version wich is cheaper
(I should point out that I won the mouse in a giveaway and all opinions in this review are my own.)
Thanks for making it this far. <3 More reviews to come.
