At the very bottom, you can see the address [0x115F48DC2A731aA16251c6d6e1BEfC42f92Accc9], which my investigation revealed to be the Polymarket Fee Treasury wallet! It turns out this contract address forcefully gouged an additional 4.995 pUSD from my trade. This is blatantly wrong. Not only is this market entirely fee-exempt by policy, but the calculated fee rate itself is completely absurd. Based on the fee formula provided in the official docs, even if we generously assume this market falls under the 'Politics' section, the fee charged to my account was over 2,500 times higher than what it should have been.

I immediately went to my profile history to check the transaction logs. To my surprise, the history tab showed that a total of $5,000 was deducted—an extra $5 on top of the $4,995 that should have been paid. This leaves me with zero profit even after executing the trade. Since the two different history tabs displayed contradictory results, I lost trust in the frontend UI and rushed over to Polygonscan.
