Nine 4th Semester B.Sc. Zoology (Honours) students from Raghunathjew Degree College, Cuttack successfully completed a 180-hour Summer Internship on "Avian Production and Management" at CPDO (ER), Talgarh, Cuttack from 4 May to 21 May 2026. During the internship, the students gained valuable theoretical and practical exposure to various aspects of poultry production and management, including identification of low-input technology birds, scientific hatchery management practices, poultry feed preparation, feed analysis, poultry farm management, and vaccination procedures. The students also explored the Poultry Museum and enhanced their understanding of modern poultry production systems. On the special request of Dr. N. K. Chanchal, IFS, Director, Animal Resource Development Department, Pranee Sampad Vikash Bhavan, Agartala, Tripura, CPDO (E.R.), Talgarh, Cuttack successfully organized a Veterinary Officers Training Program on “Scientific Poultry Production & Management.” A total of 19 Veterinary Officers, including the Deputy Director (Planning), Assistant Directors, and Veterinary Officers from various districts of Tripura, successfully completed the training program. The training provided a comprehensive blend of theoretical learning and practical exposure in modern poultry production and management practices. It significantly enhanced the participants’ technical expertise, practical understanding, and field-level implementation capacity in poultry science.
