I do have some geometry checking for printability built in, but there is so much more work to do

absolutely. please post more! we're learning and improving daily. one thing we learned last week was that using the models alone is not enough. a couple of problems that we're solving. 1) printability: most models can generate good looking / decent 3d designs. but they are not printable. so we've been optimizing a lot on that end. 2) end-to-end from prompt to print output: plan -> build/code -> verify code -> verify the design (visually) -> slice (getting ready for printing) -> printer integration 3) skills. we find that our mechanical designers and industrial designers generate so much better outputs with prompting than our software engineers. sounds obvious right. but we're trying to productize our mechanical engineers / industrial engineers. aka asking them to write down patterns, thinking processes, experiences, etc. and hopefully we can document them as skills.

I haven’t found any difference with the Pro, it’s very similar to most ABS in terms of printability. You can print it slightly faster than most. The Max is a bit tougher for bed adhesion. But, if I throw down a bit of 3DLac or Vision Miner, I haven’t had an issue. I print it a bit slower than the Pro.

Hole-aware printability. Kiln now flags holes too small to print cleanly before you waste filament. On Pro tier and above, it tunes the warnings to your material and your own printer's drift. After printing, Kiln asks how the holes fit. Plain English answer, no calipers needed
