The All India Professional Congress Civil Society & Policy Research Domain and Academia Domain organised an engaging dialogue in Jaipur on “Challenges in the Education Field in the Present Political Scenario,” bringing together academicians and professionals to discuss the evolving realities of India’s education system. Speakers discussed concerns over increasing political interference in academic institutions and the need to safeguard academic freedom. The dialogue highlighted the importance of stronger government spending to ensure accessible and quality education for all. Emphasis was placed on protecting the independence of universities so they remain spaces for research, debate and innovation. Participants also pointed out growing inequalities in education due to rising costs and the urban-rural divide.
