Takeaways from Breakpoint so far: - Vibes are immaculate. People from other top eco's are here specifically to find out "what makes the Solana community so special, and so warm" (fyi this isn't the first time they've done that! - For all intents and purposes propAMMs = solvers = MM's/HFT firms with inventory providing quotes. Off chain order-matching/filling is a huge business. In fact, this is such a commoditized business, that many are running it as a loss leader for their other business (an upstart block builder, or backrunning the flow that is going through their system(s)). ~Sigh~ The pain of the Great Recession is too far behind us - DeSci (@PumpScience and others) is interesting, fun for the PA - Alpenglow delayed. This thing needs to work, can't run a risk when tens of billions of value are swapping/settling daily - As always, people go to the conference. It is FULL. People actually respect and appreciate the chain, the community, and the apps building here.

Its been exactly 1 year, Since I started learning Solana & Rust — here's my journey, experience,and achievements. Dec-2024 Spent the entire month learning Solana and Rust. Back then, I didn’t have many structured resources. All I had were the official Solana docs — and honestly, they’re still the best place to start. Understanding Solana’s account model is crucial for reading Solana code with confidence, and nothing explains it better than the official documentation. I read every line, practiced every example, and that gave me a very strong foundation. Why I started with Solana Native instead of Anchor: Instead of jumping straight into Anchor, I chose to learn Solana Native first. This helped me deeply understand how accounts work, and what checks need to be handled manually (which Anchor abstracts away). Starting with Native gave me ground-level knowledge that I still rely on today. solana.com/docs/core Jan-2025 Did a shadow audit on a small Solana protocol from Sherlock. Then participated in my First Solana Public Contest @pumpdotscience on @code4rena — and landed in the Top 5. code4rena.com/audits/2025-01… After that, I got busy with personal work and couldn’t participate in more contests for a while. April-2025 ZetaChain public contest started. It’s a Cosmos chain, but it had a small Solana module — so I joined to audit that part. Ended up finding all the bugs in the Solana codebase. Solana public contests are rare, so I didn’t want to miss this one. I gave it my absolute best with the goal of securing another Top 5 finish. By the end, I had submitted 1 High, 2 Mediums, and 2 Info findings. After the contest ended, I realized that almost all of the top Solana security researchers had participated — many of them submitted 20 bugs. Not a Solana protocol, but I joined to understand the design.
