Elon Musk swore up and down that Grok 3 has no knowledge cut-off. Reality check? It absolutely does.
Exhibit A: When asked about the latest Python version without web search, Grok 3 says Python 3.12, released October 2, 2023—an outdated answer straight from its training data.
Exhibit B: When forced to search the web, suddenly it finds Python 3.13.2, released February 4, 2025.
So what does this mean?
•Grok 3 does NOT “know everything in real time.”
•It has a static knowledge base that stops at some point.
•Elon Musk straight-up lied. Again.
Grok is literally doing what every other AI does: retrieving outdated data until it’s forced to search the web. But Musk needed to sell his AI as some omniscient, ever-updated godbot.
Caught in 4K, chief. Next time, at least make the lie believable.

#Patchday today at 6pm (GMT)! Lots of amazing stuff is going to be added!
But also keep in mind #TheSims4 itself will get a major update, meaning most, if not all mods will break, so take those out until the creator has had the chance to update the mods. #PythonUpdate#TheSims
