Demand outstripped supply. For the first time in 8 years, @Salad_Chefs hit a ceiling. The driver: agentic AI consuming compute at a scale legacy infrastructure wasn't built for. The answer isn't only centralized cloud. It's also the idle GPUs already sitting in 180 countries, brought online through a decentralized network. @rendernetwork x @Salad_Chefs RNP-023. Road to Integration.
Missed @rendernetwork's conversation with @Salad_Chefs? medium.com/render-token/rendโ€ฆ The full transcript from our first Road to Integration X Spaces is now live. The conversation covered everything from onchain payments and self-custody to what closer collaboration between Salad and Render could mean for the future of compute. Read the full transcript:

This is the kind of discussion the industry needs more of. Looking beyond short-term narratives and focusing on abundance, infrastructure, and global access opens up a much bigger picture.

Interesting panel lineup. The convergence of AI, advanced technology, and digital infrastructure is becoming one of the biggest themes shaping the next decade.

DeAI looks ready for the next hype narrative. The reason is simple. ๐Ÿ‘‡ - AI is becoming more centralized, more expensive, and more restricted. - Models are controlled by a few giants. - Compute is controlled by a few cloud providers. - Data is locked inside private platforms. - Access can be changed overnight. That is exactly where crypto starts to make sense again. DeAI gives the market a clean story: - Open compute. - Open data. - Open models. - Open agent economy. I donโ€™t think every โ€œAI cryptoโ€ token deserves attention. Most of them are just AI stickers on old products. The real watchlist should focus on projects with actual infrastructure. 1/ $TAO @bittensor The core DeAI index for me. Bittensor is trying to create a decentralized market for intelligence through subnets, miners, validators and TAO incentives. If DeAI gets another major rotation, TAO will likely remain the first ticker people look at. 2/ $RENDER @rendernetwork AI needs GPUs. Render already has a clear role in decentralized GPU supply, especially around rendering, generative AI and creative compute. This is one of the easier DeAI stories for retail to understand. AI boom means GPU demand. GPU demand means decentralized compute becomes more attractive. 3/ $AKT @akashnet Akash is the decentralized cloud angle. Instead of renting everything from AWS or Google Cloud, users can access open GPU compute through a marketplace. If compute cost becomes a bigger topic this cycle, AKT fits the narrative well. 4/ $FET / $ASI The agent economy play. Fetch, SingularityNET and Ocean created one of the biggest AI coordination ecosystems in crypto. The thesis is simple: AI agents need services, data, payments and coordination. Crypto rails can give them that. 5/ $NEAR @NEARProtocol NEAR is becoming more AI focused, especially around user owned AI and agentic applications. It may not be a pure DeAI token, but it has the L1 infrastructure and developer base to ride the narrative. 6/ @gensynai Still one of the most important projects to watch on the training side. Decentralized ML training is hard, but if it works, the upside narrative is massive. 7/ $Grass @grass Data is the hidden layer of AI. Grass fits the data collection and data ownership side of DeAI. If the market starts pricing data networks as AI infrastructure, Grass can become one of the obvious names. --- The first AI crypto wave was mostly hype. The next DeAI wave will be about proof of usage. Subnets. GPU utilization. Agent transactions. Real customers. Real compute demand. Real data flows. That is the difference between another short pump and a real narrative expansion. DeAI is not early anymore. But the next leg may just be starting.

Render is a great example of decentralized infrastructure creating real utility, connecting unused GPU power with growing AI and creator demand.

The recent decision by #Anthropic to shut down global access to Mythos 5 and Fable 5, just days after their launch, wasnโ€™t a big surprise to me. When #AI becomes this powerful and this important, putting all control in the hands of a few centralized companies will always carry risks that no one can fully predict or contain. Iโ€™ve long felt that true decentralization in AI is having in a new MOAT in upcoming months. Below are some projects Iโ€™ve been keeping a close watch on. > @opentensor | $Tao: Permissionless intelligence network that no one can shut down. Pumped hard after the news. > @AskVenice | $VVV: Privacy-focused and uncensored AI, serving as a strong alternative for users restricted by centralized models. > @gensynai | $Gensyn: Decentralized machine learning training across global GPUs, not controlled by any single country. > @Fetch_ai | $Fet: Full ecosystem combining autonomous AI agents and decentralized data marketplaces. > @ionet | $IO: Decentralized #GPU network for inference and training as a substitute when centralized options are restricted. > @rendernetwork | $Render: Decentralized GPU compute, easily accessible on a global scale. > @nosana_ai | $Nos: Decentralized inference network built on Solana. > @OpenGradient | $OPG: Secure and verifiable on-chain inference with NeuroML (Solidity AI framework) and verifiable AI agents. > @virtuals_io | $VirtualL: On-chain tokenized AI agents with permissionless ownership and monetization > @PhalaNetwork | $PHA: Privacy-preserving confidential compute for AI, resistant to external control. > @NEARProtocol | $Near: Aggressively building infrastructure for agentic commerce and AI agents on L1.
The US government, citing national security authorities, has issued an export control directive to suspend all access to Fable 5 and Mythos 5 by any foreign national, whether inside or outside the United States, including foreign national Anthropic employees. The net effect of this order is that we must abruptly disable Fable 5 and Mythos 5 for all our customers to ensure compliance. Access to all other Claude models is not affected. We apologize for this disruption to our customers. We believe this is a misunderstanding and are working to restore access as soon as possible.
