It only shows you the macro, if you look at the repo Readme, it shows what you can see. Far more depth of exploration possible.

The "apostrocalypse" in Neal Stephenson's Readme (about names in the in-universe MMORPG) is a hilarious direction of this. It involves a posh UK fantasy author dissing a more prolific US author over a lavish corporate dinner. It also has one of Stephenson's funniest lines....

Hermes Workspace (Eric's actual product - also founder of HermesWorld). A web UI / "command center" for running a Hermes Agent — chat, memory, skills, terminal, multi-agent "Swarm" orchestration. This is a genuine open-source project: MIT-licensed, ~5.7k stars, 856 forks, 2,009 commits, real release history (v2.3.0). The README is explicit that it's "zero-fork" and runs on vanilla NousResearch/hermes-agent. So this layer is real software with real traction — the codebase isn't vaporware.

Built a personal project tracker that ships itself as a public portfolio. No CMS, no manually updating your README. Just code and ship.

Your README is your product page. A project with zero stars and a great README will get more contributors than a great project with a bad one.

It is insane how many people dont know how to navigate file explorer Especially when the githubs and README files are pretty damn clear on what to do

Why does Codex insist using my browser history to pull up a page is better and quicker than just navigating from the ReadMe doc that has that URL in the cell for them? Basic report that takes me five min to pull and We're going on 45 minutes now out of Codex Messages for 3 hours...
