📘 For this May’s pick in the Mayor’s Reading Challenge, I’m recommending The Happiest Man on Earth by Eddie Jaku. This unforgettable memoir shares the story of a Holocaust survivor who, in the face of unimaginable cruelty, chose to live with kindness, hope, and gratitude. Eddie’s reflections are honest, emotional, and incredibly inspiring. It’s a powerful reminder of the strength of the human spirit and the importance of finding joy wherever we can. 📚 You can borrow this book from the @stcathlibrary and check out their wide range of titles for readers of all ages and interests. #ReadSTC #MayorsReadingChallenge

I just owned up to this as part of #ReadSTC. I know my May book was objectively excellent - but I quit halfway through. Never keep reading a book you don’t enjoy unless you have to.
I'm an author and I'll be the first to tell you... if a book sucks, stop reading it. The best readers actually quit a lot of books. Life is too short to read books you don’t enjoy reading.
