A proud moment for Bangladesh Cricket as BCB President Mr. Md Aminul Islam, Umpires Committee Chairman Mr. Iftekhar Rahman, and other esteemed Board Directors graced the inaugural session of the Match Referee Training and Workshop 2025, held today, 26 July 2025, at the BCB Media Centre, SBNCS, Mirpur.
Organised by the Umpires Committee of BCB, the two-day workshop (26–27 July) is dedicated to welcoming, training, and encouraging the next generation of match referees — providing a platform for former cricketers to transition into key officiating roles.
With guidance from A.S.M. Roquibul Hassan (Chief Match Referee), Abhi Abdullah Al Noman (In-Charge & Educator, Umpires Dept.), Neeyamur Rashid Rahul (ICC International Panel Match Referee), and S.I.S. 📢 Successful FIL Referee Training & Examination in Cortina!
This weekend, 25 referees from Cortina and South Tyrol completed an intensive FIL training and examination at the Milano-Cortina 2026 Organizing Committee office in Cortina! Led by FIL Sports Director Matthias Böhmer and Technical Director Andris Sics, the course covered everything from race management to hands-on measurement tasks with sleds.
