In Loving Memory Of Our Hero 🤍
Major Dr. Edmund Onunwo. C. Otto (Rtd.) MSS, FSS,

The most disciplined, most honest and most educated man I ever knew. My first soccer team mate every saturday at the Port Harcourt Polo club.
I remember when I crushed my Tibia and Fibula bones while playing soccer in primary school. I was rushed to the Port Harcourt Military Hospital & many doctors said I wouldn't walk again but you said "Not My Son". You flew in the best orthopedic surgeons across Nigeria to build back my bones piece by piece. You and mum sat beside me everyday for 4 months until I was fully healed. Those memories on that bed at the age of 7 remain some of my fondest memories of childhood. Everyday I had new books to read, new assignments to solve, new games to play and puzzles to crack. I remember seeing you cry for the first time the day I walked without assistance and today I don't even know which leg was broken.
I remember you waking me up every 5am to study for my common entrance exams & driving me for my entrance exams at Nigerian Navy Secondary School, Nigerian Airforce Secondary School, UDSS and FGSS. I passed all the exams and I had to choose Nigerian Navy Secondary School.
I remember how you reviewed my essays while I was applying to Harvard University and you told me, it would be a huge loss if Harvard didn't accept me. Off course they did and you said you weren't surprised.
You taught us the importance of intergrity. "Never take what doesn't belong to you! Never sit in any circle where evil is being planned! Always make your food your Medicine so your Medicine doesn't become your food"
Speaking to you everyday was like reading an encyclopedia of knowledge. You were my personal doctor, the first I consult before I go to any hospital but now you are gone, I don't know where to start from! You are terrible missed dad. The house feels empty & I pray God helps us come out of this shock and rebuild.
Rest in God's bossom dad! I would try to stay strong because that's what everyone expects. I ask that you send me all the strength that I need. I Love You Dad🫂🤍💔
