YES! That's exactly what I said! When the pH is too high or too low, this can trigger an algae bloom. Cheap and weak filtration systems and skimping on chemical treatments can also contribute. An algae bloom this severe only happens from serious neglect and improper care.
The Reflecting Pool is currently experiencing an algae outgrowth, indicating high pH conditions.
Such a high pH is known to strip paint, potentially ruining Trump's $14M paint renovation.
