Weather was perfect and I had planned a 24-25K long run. But after 3K, it was clear yesterday's heavy strength session had left my legs fatigued and my running form wasn't quite right.
Called it a day and saved it to run another day. A missed workout is always better than an injury. 🏃♂️💪

Recovery Sunday 🏃🏽♂️
7km after a 20km long run… and I felt amazing. No fatigue, just cruising.
Lesson:
Run your long runs EASY → recovery becomes EASY.
Stop racing your long runs.
Easy pace = better recovery = consistency = progress.

Speed Intervals Tuesday 🏃🏾♂️🔥

2-min recovery (aerobic)
First 3 reps smooth.
From rep 4… recovery tested me.
Had to:
• Walk 30 sec
• Jog 1 min
• Reset
Lesson: Recovery is part of the workout.
Controlled effort > reckless speed.

Just saw a running video! Three runners take up an entire lane on a busy road creating risk for themselves and others!
Run against traffic.
Don’t occupy the whole lane.
Use footpath wherever available.
Being a runner does not give you the right of way.

Kept HR under 140 for a few kms, then it drifted slightly — managed effort accordingly.
