Mr. R. Madhu Sudan, Deputy Chief of Mission, addressed and interacted with a group of high school science students from India visiting Japan under the Sakura Science Program at the Embassy of India.
During their visit, the students will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in Japan’s science and technology ecosystem through engagements with some of Japan’s premier scientific and academic institutions, including JAXA, RIKEN, The University of Tokyo, University of Tsukuba, and Kazusa DNA Research Institute. The programme will expose them to cutting-edge Japanese research, innovation, and academic excellence. Mr. Sotaro ITO, Deputy Director-General of Sakura Science Program, JST also spoke on the occasion.
The Ministry of Education, Government of India, selected 56 school students and 4 supervisors for this visit at the invitation of the Japan Science and Technology Agency (JST).
