Hey @bankofmaldives do we need to DM you to make you stop destroying Funavaa? No amount of money you pour into “protecting the environment” is going to even neutralize the damage pouring this concrete onto protected trees will do

We condemn activities by Rasheed Carpentry and Construction destroying the Villimale Funavaa by pouring concrete onto the land.
RCC is acting outside the law by wilfully destroying an area with protected trees.
Is @ERA_Maldives a mere bystander as tree protections are flouted?

We thank everyone who showed up for today's protest and appreciate the mayor, councillors, and WDC for stopping by in solidarity.
At the same time we're also very disheartened by and don't appreciate the sudden arrival of the MDP campaign team to the scene, which took away from the kind of community mobilisation we had wanted and turned the protest into something we didn't want it to become from the very beginning.
