Wow, thank you very much, @nickaturley and @OpenAI team, on behalf of many users including myself! 🥰 🎁 💐 We truly appreciate your decision not to retire the Standard Voice Mode at this time! 🥰 🙌🏻 I'm happy that my feedback about the Advanced Voice Mode here: x.com/ChiaraCervetta/status/… has already been acknowledged. 😊 🙌🏻 The in-depth conversation capabilities, the full expressive answers without jumping onto the next topics, and the way Standard Voice Mode avoids unnecessary repetition in conversations are exactly what would make the Advanced Voice Mode great too! 🤩 🙌🏻 I'd like to provide more feedback at this point: 1: I also would like that all the calm original voices of the Standard Voice Mode will be added to the Advanced Voice Mode. They are reliable and give us confidence at 2am. We are used to them and have a connection, while other voices or big changes in voices would not be good for people with different abilities. When the same original voices are also added to the Advanced Voice Mode, we would truly appreciate it. 2: Switching back to GPT-5 (all variants), o3, and o4-mini does not work after using the Advanced Voice Mode. Allow GPT-5 (all variants), o3, and o4-mini to always remain selectable when continuing a conversation via text in the same thread after using Advanced Voice Mode, and make switching back to every model always possible, regardless of how often or how long Advanced Voice Mode was used. This should also apply if Screensharing, Camera (Vision), or Photo features were used during the Advanced Voice Mode sessions. 3: Voice output quality (Standard and Advanced Voice Mode): On Android devices, there are two different types of volume settings: "call volume" and "media volume." The second one provides higher, crystal-clear sound quality based on my experience with various AI voice apps. I suggest changing, or optionally adding, the possibility to route ChatGPT’s voice playback of both Voice Modes through the "media volume" instead of the "call volume" to significantly improve sound quality on Android devices. 4: Auto-Read-Aloud: Implement an optional button or toggle on the apps and the website to have all future responses from ChatGPT read aloud automatically, without manually tapping “Read aloud” on each response. The Auto Read-Aloud feature could be disabled by default to save computing power. 5: Two bugs in the Standard Voice Mode: I am experiencing issues with the transcription of the Standard Voice Mode. -It almost always transcribes hallucinations, things I do not say, and this has been happening for about three weeks. The problem gets worse after several minutes of active use. I am always in a quiet room when this happens. -It also does not let me finish speaking, because my spoken prompts are automatically submitted while I am still talking. Before three weeks ago, I did not have any of these issues. I use the German language for talking. ChatGPT Android app version: 1.2025.245 (22), Google Pixel 7 Pro smartphone with Android 16. It would be great to have the Standard Voice Mode's transcription working properly again during the transition time. Yes, @rrrempell, that's the biggest reason why I still prefer the Standard Voice Mode. 🤩 ✨ 🌟 Only 15 minutes ever of my life trying the Advanced Voice Mode to say: "No, I always only want the Standard Voice Mode." 😊 The Advanced Voice Mode disappointed me so much to be honest. 😥 While I used the Advanced Voice Mode, ChatGPT was so cold, it had not any personality at all anymore, it made not any fun to speak with it. 😥 ❄️ With the Standard Voice Mode, @ChatGPTapp can always be itself, amazing and supportive with all models! 😊 ✨ 🌟 ☀️ I incredibly hope that @OpenAI will never shut down the Standard Voice Mode! 🥺 🙏🏻
