Imagine how bad the new housing (zoning) maps would be if we hadn’t advocated for much more housing? It’s hard to feel like a failure is actually a success but we have to believe we are making a difference or advocacy is too depressing. #SeattleCompPlan

if you want to know why Seattle got more expensive, we did not add enough homes with the added jobs, which put us in a hole that we refuse to climb out of. the only time it kept up was during the 2008 recession. looking to the future, our #SeattleCompPlan furthers the deficit

Thanks to @tech4housing for stepping in to mobilize people for the #SeattleCompPlan. reminder: We need paid organizers for land use advocacy efforts and we need local nonprofits to step up and fund organizing around pro-housing work on a weekly basis with an active campaign.

And by not including an Alternative 6, despite the incredible demand for it, that means Alternative 5 will likely be the alternative most likely to create a true #15MinuteCity. We will be connecting with the organizations who are leading on the #SeattleCompPlan about next steps.
