Summer is a popular time to move, go on adventures or start household projects, and sometimes, all the things you need for these activities just won’t fit inside your vehicle. That’s when it’s important to know how to properly secure your load. Improperly secured, or unsecured, objects in the back or on top of a vehicle can cause accidents, injuries and even death.
Safety is the top priority of (MDOT, which is why our agency recognizes June 6 as “Secure Your Load Day.”

Always check your towing components before hitting the road. This trailer came off the tow ball. The safety chains kept it from causing a collision on I182 in Richland. This was a close call and it could have been much worse. 🛻⛓️#secureyourload #tow #safety #safetychains
