These roads are their offices. You wouldn’t want someone speeding through your place of work. Let’s give them the same respect.

🚛 June is Commercial Vehicle Safety Month. 🚛   Calgarians rely on products transported by large commercial vehicles every day, but they must meet rigorous safety standards to remain on the roads. CPS officers can stop any commercial vehicle they believe isn’t meeting safety standards & take it out of service if needed. This year, 202 vehicles have been stopped by officers & inspected for possible violations: 🔷 January: 44 vehicles inspected, 37 placed out of service 🔷 February: 32 vehicles inspected, all 32 placed out of service 🔷 March: 37 vehicles inspected, 26 placed out of service 🔷 April: 50 vehicles inspected, 42 placed out of service 🔷 May: 46 vehicles inspected, 41 placed out of service Commercial vehicle drivers are responsible for ensuring their vehicles meet safety standards. Drivers should perform a safety check on their vehicles before starting their trip.
