Took a screen shot of a vitamin mix that's supposed to be an anti-aging thing, and asked grok to make it a whole food recipe: Anti-Inflammatory and Antioxidant Power Bowl Ingredients: Fisetin Source: 1 cup of strawberries (rich in fisetin) Quercetin Source: 1 cup of red onions (high in quercetin) Curcumin Source: 1 teaspoon of turmeric (for curcumin) Olive Leaf: 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil (contains oleuropein) Soybean Seed: 1/2 cup of cooked edamame (soybeans) Luteolin Source: 1 cup of cooked celery (contains luteolin) Milk Thistle: 1 tablespoon of milk thistle seeds (ground or whole) Piperine Source: 1/2 teaspoon of ground black pepper (for piperine) Senactive (Ginseng and Rose Hip): 1/4 cup of chopped ginseng root (if available) or substitute with 1 tablespoon of rose hip tea (for rose hip) Instructions: Prepare the Ingredients:Chop the red onion finely. Slice the strawberries. If using whole milk thistle seeds, grind them in a spice grinder or mortar and pestle. If you have ginseng root, chop it finely; if not, prepare rose hip tea by steeping dried rose hips in hot water. Cook the Edamame: If using frozen edamame, cook according to package instructions or boil for 5 minutes until tender. Sauté the Vegetables: In a pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped red onion and sauté until translucent. Add the turmeric and black pepper, stirring well to mix. This helps in the absorption of curcumin due to the presence of piperine. Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the cooked edamame, sautéed onions, sliced strawberries, and chopped celery. If using ginseng, add it now. If not, you can drizzle some rose hip tea over the mixture for an additional antioxidant boost. Add Milk Thistle: Sprinkle the ground milk thistle seeds over the top or mix them in. Serve: Toss everything together gently. You can serve this bowl as is or over a bed of greens for added nutrients. This recipe provides a blend of foods that contain similar compounds to those in your supplement, offering a natural way to get these nutrients into your system. Remember, the bioavailability and concentration of these compounds might differ from supplements, so regular consumption of these foods can help maintain a steady intake.
