Over time, this vital source became heavily silted and seasonally depleted, leaving communities vulnerable to water scarcity and heightened risks of waterborne diseases. The @BORESHA_HoA programme, through #RACIDA Ethiopia, is facilitating the rehabilitation and desilting of the earth pan to restore its capacity and secure reliable access to safe water for both people and livestock. Progress so far includes: ✔️ Fencing to safeguard access ✔️ Construction of new cattle troughs ✔️ Installation of a water kiosk with a 10,000-litre PVC tank ✔️ Ongoing desilting of the pan To complement this, #Community_Led_Sanitation (CLTS) initiatives will be introduced to enhance hygiene practices and reduce waterborne disease risks. On Thursday June 26th, @BOU_Official in collaboration with FSD Uganda and @IFC_org conducted a stakeholders requirements validation workshop for the Central Data Hub (CDH) for #CreditInformationSharing.
