Yes, that is the case. You can NOT switch from FSD to Autosteer without putting the car in park. Same for the other way around. I've quit my FSD subscription. As it's flipping annoying since I cross the border at highway speeds multiple times a week. Also, I like AutoPilot better on the highway. FSD is scared of the left lane and it doesn't go the the set max speed. It loves to get stuck behind slower cars. At least AP goes to the 140 I tell it to go to. FSD sticks to the speedlimit, sometimes a little over, but you can allow it to go fast. (max 130) but won't go to that speed until you manually put it there. And when it gets hold up by a slower car it doesn't go back to the 130 I pushed it to. Yes, I like driving fast.

@AnnickDeRidder Good morning, it seems that fsd do struggle to adapt to 70km/h when coming out of a 50 km/h zone. That is due to the lack of speedlimit signs. Do you plan to put them back? Any car with « traffic sign recognition » struggles nowadays, not really safe.

The total speed limit is infinity on the Autobahn but every kind of street has its own speedlimit like in town your only allowed to drive 50kmh

Standard usually does okay for me on highways, sometimes I have to help it by pressing the accelerator. It's terrible on 2 lane roads and goes under the speedlimit...mad max barely does the speed limit on 2 lane roads for me. mad max is way to fast on highways. Hurry is hit or miss on highways. Point is that I have to change the speed settings constantly depending on what kind of road I'm on. Before I could just set to hurry everywhere and set my max speed.

Did a bunch of driving on rural Wyoming highways today. FSD has been terrible. Really, honestly terrible. Speedlimit data is grotesquely incorrect all over, to the point of having to disengage and drive manually because there is no speed profile that works when it thinks the limit is 80, or 65, when it is actually 45 or even 35. Or when it thinks the limit is 45, but it is actually 25. Or when the limit is actually 70, but it thinks it is 35. It also completely bombed on a highway with lane construction and flaggers, with alternating traffic using one lane. Once past the flagger, it tried to move into the lane with construction because there wasn't a barrier or cones, even though it was following a vehicle and had nother following us. Also had a crash stop on a highway for a tumbleweed blowing across the road. No one was behind us, but it was an anti-safety maneuver for sure. It honestly did terribly, and I was showing it off to my parents on all of these. In town, and on freeways, it is flawless. On rural back-highways of the sort in Wyoming, it may actually be worse than Blue Cruise. Super disappointed in it today. I've been ready for unsupervised for road trips overnight/red-eye/napping, but not through very rural Mountain West scenarios.
