While those changes are good, I still think you guys should reconsider putting them into the startmenu. Having *livetiles* can provide so much userbility in the startmenu. Much more than *widgets* ever could for me.
@Stardock@bdsams is my ace, re #startmenu#windows excuse re why you can’t do have on side, top, etc ie way you want it, daft, should not be an issue, yet it is & still @Microsoft don’t understand, keep it #accessible for all, so who do I trust with startmenu is Stardock!
The lowest I can get in windows 10 22h2 no custom ISO is around 38 processes with custom Startmenu and no defender in windows 11 it’s around 48 with custom start menu and I can run all games but this doesn’t do shot for input lag or performance it only helps with lower ram usage

The new Start Menu on Windows 11 25H2. The apps can appear in three ways: Category, Grid, and List. The new Start Menu isn't available for all Windows users. Do you have this new menu on your Windows 11 PC?

I generally agree but I think the Startmenu of Win10 was actually great. It was a great hybrid and decluttered the desktop and taskbar when you used it as organized storage for shortcuts. Although the big widgets are stupid except for specific usecases.
But for real all the new stuff in Win11 like the Explorer, Context Menus and Startmenu are so sluggish and bad it's been driving me nuts. Meanwhile they could've just reskinned the existing systems and still make it look new and distinct while also improving performance
I found this tool that enables Windows 7 like transparency and another that replaces the Windows 11 Taskbar, Startmenu and Explorer with the classic technology but still with the Win11 design philosophy
My eyes are healing, I love this
