Well done! Your weather looks brilliant! I hope it goes well tomorrow. My week's not been as 'straitforward' or as usual! I was at my brother's funeral in Bucks yesterday. My nephew visited me on Thursday, kindly doing lots of work on my house, but necessarily making much mess!

The entirety of Tidal Skies takes place inside two weeks. Injuries linger, petty personalities drag, and a youthful angst will reveal the main character as a whiny bitch. As the first of three it is attempting to explain the impossible: Why now? Because: Baylan is a sucker for love; Lila decided enough was enough; Darian wanted forgiveness; Sav can't accept that men are monsters. Overarcing them all is the complex calculation of the Wokedown's smartest man who threw a needle into the gears at just the right moment. There is nothing simple or straitforward about this book and while it is complex, it's theory is whole with no time vacuums or plot holes. Tidal Skies is a slowly breaking watch and their isn't much to unleaden the explaination of it. It asks a lot of the reader, this is true. It asks for trust: A hard ask for a first time author across six hundred pages, but the thing is what it is, and there was no easier way to deliver it that wouldn't have turned the gold back into lead. To those of you that know me, I hope one day you find the time to peer into it for your own enjoyment, and not merely to scoot to the next item on the old TBR. I am not a lukewarm author and likewise any less of a reader will render the tale hazy and overstretching at best. Thanks for listening to my Tidal Skies rant. “If they can’t solve something so straightforward” So much wrong in one sentence. It’s our mess, we started it, unprovoked, with no communication to international allies. They should not have the burden of “solving” the mess we created. Additionally, “so straightforward”???? Look up your own states laws. HB 1365 banned public camping in 2024, gives legal cover for individual cities to enforce. Miami Beach is effectively free of homeless in 2026 now thanks to straitforward enforcement. It’s an easy problem to solve fundamentally
