And before that war of choice the prices were even lower, the Strait of Hormuz was open without the threat of mines and fees, US critical munitions stocks were higher (TLAM, Thaad interceptors etc.) and the IRN nuclear weapons program was already destroyed (so the US said).

But he staged some actions after the event, and cut footage of a TLAM breaching the surface into the report, suggesting that everything was part of the same operation, which it wasn't. He was found wanting by SkyNews, resigned, and, sadly, committed suicide a few months later.

Do you know what happens to journalists who fake articles/reports? They get sacked and generally never work again in the media. I was brought to mind of @SkyNews journalist, James Forlong in 2003. He was on-board HMS Splendid in the Gulf region and witnessed a TLAM firing. ..

I don’t think the FP 5 is intended to serve as an TLAM replacement, rather this is to add an additional production plant outside of Russia reach.

What if the real gap is not between ordinary strikes (Castellion, PrSM, TLAM, JASSM, etc), and nuclear, which hypersonics fill, but between civilian and state police capabilities, the integrity of the nation of course being crucial to certain deterrence & projection strategies?

The whole story on Germany’s TLAM shouldn’t be seen through INF. It’s relevant, but it keeps setting up this lens I don’t like. TLAM at sea was also allowed during INF. And the idea of a VLS ashore or Standard Missile was, too. German procurement not arms control history.
COMMENTARY: When news broke that the Pentagon wouldn’t sell long-range Tomahawk missiles to Germany, it suggested Washington might fear Moscow would view such a capability in Europe’s hands as dangerous escalation. politico.eu/article/defense-…

Here's the problem. They are 6000 miles away, they have the capacity to respond, they hold the Hormuz and we cannot take it from them, and we are winchester interceptor missiles, down on our TLAM and JASSMs, and they blasted our early warning radar. We were not prepared.

I am not sure about range. MdCN carries more fuel, if you run the numbers, you to a roughly equivalent range as TLAM. Both are cylinder-shaped missiles, therefore by design not very stealthy. IR guidance, TT launch (e.g., RN), hardening…all checks for TLAM, too.

I am not confusing anything at all. I have stated that MdCN is technically inferior to TLAM and have argued this point all along. I have not said anything about the relative ability to generate effects. However, I agree with you - these are strategically equivalent weapons.
14
Would you have a source for this, this is in conflict to all published information I have seen. See attached pictures for an example. TLAM-N and -C have the same dimensions. A Strike-length Mk41 cell, or rather its Mk13 container, is 264“ (6.71 m) long: baesystems.com/dam/jcr:4c892…

The point is, the sale was no breach of MTCR. While the sale of Black Shaheen was considered a breach by the U.S. (its range is ~400 km at altitude) but not by FR/UK (at sea level, it is less than 300 km). TLAM export today is de facto mostly restricted by production capacity.
