High-signal programming books I keep seeing senior engineers recommend 👇 TLPI, Pro Git, DDIA, SQL Performance Explained, Operating Systems, Docker Deep Dive Not tutorials they're mindset shapers. Which book changed how you think about software?

3 books i referred to were effective modern cpp , tlpi and cs:app , i didn't really read the whole books in itself just some chapters on where i got stuck were very useful and helped me understand stuff in a way better way

Working my way through @iximiuz 's Docker tutorials. I am ashamed to say that my anti-docker/container stance of late 2010s-2022 was a reflection of my own ignorance than flaws with Docker. So many Linux abstractions I was unaware of, developments since TLPI was published in 2010

started reading TLPI book the other day and now just realizing that it is 1500 pages long :) lets see how long it takes for me to read it all
