ソフト更新は利用者の心理的抵抗が低く、ネットワーク上でも“正規トラフィック”に見えやすい。ここに攻撃が入ると、侵害は利用者単位ではなく“組織単位の信頼”を踏み抜く形になる。
能力変化としては、攻撃者が配布インフラ・更新検証の弱点を突き、長期にわたり静かに選別感染を継続できる点が重要である。更新機構の検証（署名・ハッシュ・TLS・配布元）を監査対象に格上げすべき局面となる。
