Countless panels at @the_omniverse 3.0, yet 0 on digital inclusion for PWDs. A sad 2026 oversight. If we're architecting the future, accessibility must be a core requirement, not an afterthought. Let’s bring this to #Omniverse4.0. 💡♿ #DigitalAccessibility #TechInclusion

Age is just a number.⏳ Until the NYSC portal tells you you're over 30. Age is just a number… until a Graduate Trainee role caps applicants at 24 or 26. Age is just a number… until an opportunity perfectly fits your skills but not your birth year. #WomenInTech#TechInclusion

In the global race for AI supremacy, we often focus on the "size" of the model, but the true frontier is relevance. As this quote from #InternationalMotherLanguageDay reminds us, ignoring local languages isn't just a cultural oversight, it’s a strategic mistake. True digital sovereignty begins when technology speaks the language of the people it serves. By prioritizing Small Language Models (SLMs) that are efficient enough to run on-device and specialized enough to capture the nuances of regional dialects, we aren't just building tools; we are building bridges. We believe that empowering grassroots means ensuring no one is left behind by a language barrier in the digital age. When we digitize these "bridges," we unlock a new era of inclusive innovation. How are you seeing SLMs bridge the gap in your industry? Let’s discuss in the comments. 👇 @theancientlang @africalanguage @AfricaAi2025 @africalanguage @yoruba_proverbs #AIforGood #LanguagePreservation #SLM #DigitalSovereignty #EqualyzAI #TechInclusion #AfricanInnovation

🌍✨ Unlocking Abundance: Ruthe Farmer on Tech Inclusion & Women’s Empowerment ✨🌍 At the Global Power Women Conference 2024 hosted at The City University of New York, Ruthe Farmer (@ruthef), Founder & CEO of Last Mile Education Fund and Tech Inclusion Advocate, responded powerfully to the question on strategies that drive gender equity and diversity in technology education. She emphasized that her work has always been grounded in the idea of abundance—the belief that talent and potential are everywhere, but the systems designed to nurture them are not. She challenged stereotypes around girls’ interest in technology, pointing out that the problem is not a lack of interest but a lack of approaches that genuinely resonate with them. Reflecting on her pioneering work through initiatives like Aspirations in Computing (launched in 2007) and TECHNOLOchicas, Farmer described how she built networks to connect the few girls in each school raising their hands to pursue technology into strong communities and cohorts. That movement has since grown into a vibrant network of 35,000 young women who are solving real-world problems—from AI-driven healthcare solutions in Rwanda to innovative apps shaping global industries. Her message was clear: women are not working on trivial problems; they are creating transformative solutions for humanity. The power of Ruthe Farmer’s story highlights the importance of building systems, networks, and opportunities that amplify women’s voices and potential in technology and entrepreneurship. Her vision of inclusion and resilience sets the stage for the next global conversation. At the Global Power Forum (GPF) 2025 in New York, the first panel of the Global Power Women Conference (GPWC) will spotlight Enterprise & Global Trade for Women Entrepreneurs / Digital Empowerment & Tech-Driven Inclusion. With the thematic focus: ✨ SheTrades: Unlocking Cross-Border Capital for Women-Owned Enterprises ✨ Digital Bridges to Power: Apps, AI, and the Next Generation of Women Leaders This transformative session will explore how women entrepreneurs are leveraging technology to scale their enterprises, bridge access gaps, and reimagine cross-border trade. Yesterday, we proudly graduated 20 women from our Women in AI Fellowship, a six-month programme designed to equip Nigerian women with both technical and soft skills to thrive as artificial intelligence engineers and innovators. The fellows underwent intensive training in Python, machine learning, mathematics, and data science, complemented by leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, preparing them to be role models and change-makers in technology. At the graduation held at the Ilorin Innovation Hub, our Executive Director, Opeyemi Nafisat Bakare, encouraged the fellows to keep improving themselves, strategically position for growth, and leverage social media to seize opportunities. The highlight of the day was the inspiring keynote address by Olusoji Oyawoye, titled “Your AI Journey: From Foundation to Future-Proof.” His message on continuous self-improvement, strategic positioning, and creating value through social media provided practical guidance for the fellows’ next steps. We were also honored by the goodwill remarks from James Newell, Executive Director of @GSR_io . His words of encouragement were truly uplifting and a great source of motivation for our graduates as they celebrated this important milestone. Other highlights included goodwill messages from government officials and academics, as well as the Women in AI Hackathon, where AgroVision emerged winner with an AI solution for food security and EduLine secured second place with an edutech innovation. Outstanding fellows also received awards, including laptops and cash prizes. We are deeply grateful to our partners, GSR Foundation and @TheCircleNGO , for believing in this vision and supporting our mission to close the gender gap in STEM. 🚀 The future of AI is inclusive, diverse, and powerful. @USinNigeria #WomenInAI #STEM #TechInclusion #AIForGood #WebfalaInitiative #undp
