A 7-day Drone Training Programme for #ExServicemen was conducted at #Lucknow by Directorate General of EME in collaboration with Uttar Pradesh Purva Sainik Kalyan Nigam. The initiative trained 31 Ex-Servicemen, identified by EME Depot Battalion and UPPSKNL, under DGCA-certified instructors in simulator training, drone operations, aerial surveillance, mission planning, safety procedures and smart security technologies including CCTV integration. The programme is a significant step towards #SkillDevelopment and #VeteranEmpowerment, preparing veterans for emerging roles in drone-based security, infrastructure monitoring and smart surveillance across Uttar Pradesh and other parts of the country. NAF, NIGCOMSAT EXPAND STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP TO ENHANCE AIR AND SPACE DOMAIN SECURITY The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sunday Kelvin Aneke, has reaffirmed the Nigerian Air Force’s commitment to leveraging advanced technology and strategic partnerships to strengthen national security during a courtesy visit by the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Nigerian Communications Satellite (NIGCOMSAT) Limited, Mrs Jane Nkechi Egerton-Idehen, to Headquarters Nigerian Air Force on 11 March 2026. The CAS noted that the visit underscores the growing importance of space-enabled capabilities in contemporary military operations, commending NIGCOMSAT’s pioneering role in satellite communications and its sustained contributions to national development and security. Air Marshal Aneke reiterated that the Nigerian Air Force remains guided by his Command Philosophy of enhancing and sustaining a highly motivated, professional, and mission-ready force capable of delivering decisive airpower effects in synergy with surface forces.
