I get this, I truly do, & at the same time, texting is not an active conversation. It is written so people can get to it *when they have time*. Some people really need to chill on their textpectations. If you want an in-real-time conversation, pick up the phone or get in the car
i prefer a “i'm busy rn, but i love you and i will text you as soon as i’m available to talk” rather than going hours with no text back wondering wya

I think having the same textpectations for everyone is detrimental.
I have two friends one that I text a lot and other that we text little, and the for the second we just talk better in person, so I see that friend in person a lot more.
It’s different for everyone.

Someone apologized to me for a break in texting because a thing came up, and I was trying to explain the concept of amnesty forever, and I just said “it’s fine, no textpectations”, and they totally got what I meant but also they think I’m a dork
