1st years enjoying @DLaneUL sketching resources. Some excellent work produced in class today. There was even a dodgy attempt on the whiteboard by Mr. Martin. @UL@JCt4ed
We can #sketch using paper & pencil or using a digital tablet. The process is the same. You need to SEE the shapes/geometry and you need to ensure that you understand the importance of #PROPORTION. This is the focus of beginner sketching activities @ThinkSpatialUL.
More content on the way shortly for #thinkspatialul. We will be making many of our resources available through the
@ThinkSpatialUL twitter page and YouTube. We also have a very active Instagram account - @ThinkSpatialUL
Series of tweets & links below from @thinkspatialul. Should help #teachers get started with some #Sketching activities. This technique develops confidence for beginners & focuses on #proportion. Can be done in the #classroom or at #home. Use target images to suit your students
The use of a grid will help the complete beginner to develop sketching confidence. In one of our first activities we encourage people to think about proportions (or fractions) when #Sketching. The 2 videos below might be helpful for teachers
