Thread milling is great for prototypes, tough materials, mixed thread sizes. But for medium/high prod runs downsides are real
Tapping is faster, cheaper, doesnt require high spindle speeds. Also Taps are more fire and forget in forgiving materials.

Easy peasy. Haas mill or lathe?
Fyi i use polar or incremental H for threadmilling small ID threads.
Keeps axis locked and then just C is rotating (and Z for the helix).
Very accurate and easy to fine tune too.
I *rarely* do in our swiss lathe live tooling usually only for simple 4-40 rigid tap in copper electrical parts. Otherwise I am threadmilling because of superior little chips and just about perfection for running 24 x 7 with no drama
GM! 🌞 Just programming some threadmilling for a part that will be running "lights out" 24x7 on one of our Swiss Lathes at Chynuhh-busting low prices but with aviation level quality ⚙️🫡🇺🇸
